The Matrix

Choices are a big theme throughout the movie
The matrix is the world pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth
Taking the Blue pill will end the story and the Neo will forget everything about the matrix, he will become "normal"
Red Pill will open the eyes to the truth and reveal the matrix
How Could you tell a dream/ virtual world from reality
To fully embrace the Matrix you must free your mind
The body cannot live with out the mind
EMP is only way to combat the Sentinels
Cypher betrayed the resistance (couldnt handle the truth)
Love brings Neo back from the dead (because why wouldnt it)
The Oracle tells only what is needed

While both arguments as to which pill to take has valid points most rely on later knowledge of the events that occur during the course of the movie. Looking at the scenario from this perspective makes it a difficult choice because the movie shows the story from the side of taking the red pill. The only information presented during the movie as to what would happen if the blue pill was taken was when Morpheus offered the pills, telling Neo that taking the blue pill would return him to having a normal life where he forgets everything he had figured out about the Matrix. To make a proper argument and decision for taking one pill or the other must be made with the information that was presented at the time the choice was presented. Given the information at the time the choice would primarily be based on the personality of individual. Taking the blue pill returns you to a "normal" life erasing any memory, idea or knowledge of the Matrix. This choice can be seen as a being the easy way out, or the path of least resistance. Basically here I'm calling the blue pill the cop-out choice, the path for those who don't want to leave their comfort zone. Taking the red pill on the other hand shows a willingness to seek adventure to find the truth, explore new possibilities and push yourself out of your comfort zone. But the truth about taking either of the two pills the story will eventually end, the difference in the ending depends on the pill. Taking the blue pill creates a predictable ending, while the red pill has many different possible endings depending on the path the story takes.

Personally I would not take either of the two pills. The current path of life when offered to take the red or blue pill if continued would produce a new third possibility for the ending of the story. The natural curiosity and urge to seek out answers could show a combination of both the characteristics of the person who would take the blue pill and the person who would take the red pill. Maintaining the curiosity to discover information and answers on your own rather than taking a pill that will just provide the answers you've been seeking says something strongly about that person.
